uring my career, I've served major corporations, start-up
companies and their advertising agencies with content development,
creative direction, brand positioning and marketing communications
strategies. My clients have included Aura Systems, Inc., The Boston
Consulting Group, Boston Scientific, Broderbund, Carl Zeiss-Meditec,
Cisco Systems, CooperVision Lasers, Inktomi, International Microelectronic
Products, Kyphon, Inc., National Semiconductor, Securify, Serena
Software, Inc., Sierra Semiconductor (now PMC-Sierra), Silvar-Lisco,
Synopsis, Sun Microsystems, Toshiba America, Ubizen N.V. (Belgium),
Western Micro Technology (now Avnet) and Workspace Innovations,
Inc.
I've also helped non-profts raise money and awareness
among their members and donors. These organizations have included
the Fistula Foundation, the Gold Country Piano Institute, the Performing
Arts Center of Grass Valley, California, the Sustainable World Coalition,
Congregation Pardes Yisroel of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Chabad of
Greater South Bay. I'm a past president of one of these organizations,
and serve on the boards of two others. In addition, I volunteer
as a “Science Buddy,” a program of the Kenneth Lafferty
Hess Family Charitable Foundation that helps middle- and high-school
students maximize the value and enjoyment of their science projects.
When I'm not working for clients, I like to hike,
photograph landscapes and architecture, enjoy a night of theater
or ballet, watch Star Trek (any genre but Enterprise will do), swoon
over Andrea Bocelli, love up “Simcha,” my little Corgie-mix
rescue dog, help less tech-savvy friends tame their computers and
(ahem..) offer up some unsolicited, less-than-subtle opinions on
my blog at the Maven
University.
